It’s almost time to review and enroll in your benefits for 2027. Starting October 19-November 6, 2026, both active and retired members of Local 689 will have the opportunity to review benefit coverage, make changes, or update information for the upcoming plan year.

When do my 2027 benefits begin?

Your 2027 benefit elections will take effect January 1, 2027.

Do I have to participate in Open Enrollment if I don’t want to make any changes?

No. If you decide to not make any changes, your previous benefit will rollover and remain the same.

What happens if I miss the Open Enrollment deadline?

All documentation pertaining to Open Enrollment must be submitted via DocuSign and/or received by the TEHW Office no later than Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Documents received after the deadline will not be accepted.

How do I know which medical, dental, vision, and prescription plan I am currently enrolled in?

Check your current benefits information on the TEHW Member Portal or contact TEHW if you need assistance confirming your current election.

How can I add or remove a dependent from my plan?

To add a dependent (child) to your current plan, please list their name on the back of your enrollment form, select add option, along with required information, and supplemental documentation (birth certificate and social security card). To add a spouse to your current plan, please list their name on the back of your enrollment form, along with required information, and supplemental documentation (marriage certificate and social security card).

To remove a dependent from your plan, please add their name to the back of your enrollment form and select remove option.

Where can I find the 2027 enrollment forms?

Members should use the current TEHW forms listed here or through DocuSign.

Can I use an old enrollment form from a previous year?

No. Previous-year forms may contain outdated information and will not be accepted for 2027 enrollment.

Can I submit my enrollment form electronically?

Yes. Members can now complete their 2027 Open Enrollment form and Opt-Out Form electronically through DocuSign.

What happens after I submit my enrollment form?

Your submission will be reviewed and processed. Keep a copy of your completed documents for your records.

How do I know if TEHW received my enrollment submission?

Electronic forms submitted through DocuSign will send the recipient a confirmation message to the email address used to complete the form. If you are unsure whether your submission was received, contact TEHW before the November 6, 2026 deadline.
