Join The First Challenge Of The Year!

Celebrate American Heart Month by participating in our step challenge! This opportunity is your first chance to win prizes and incentives on 689 Moving Me! Track your steps by competing against your co-workers and reaching your step goal at the same time!

Walking can have a positive impact on your health over time. Incorporating more movement into your day can help reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.

The participants with the most steps (on their respective team) will be entered into the jackpot to win prizes. The number of jackpot prizes drawn will depend on the total number of participants. Winners will be announced on March 21.

The challenge will be held from February 4th - March 16th.

Members who registered for 689 Moving Me prior to 1/17 have already been divided into teams. Participants registering after 1/17 will need to select their team when they sign-up for the program: Heart Healthy, Heart Breakers, Heart Throbs, Heart & Sole.

Winners can select one prize from the following: Weight Watchers online membership for 1 year, Amazon gift card (prize value $150), Washington Wizards or Capitals Tickets (prize value $150) or an Amazon Echo show.

My spouse and I are legally separated. Can I remove my spouse from my coverage?

Your spouse’s coverage ends if you get divorced or if your marriage is annulled. If you are separated but still legally married, your spouse is still covered. You can remover him or her during the annual open enrollment.  Your domestic partner loses coverage when your relationship no longer meets the criteria for a domestic partner relationship.

If you and your spouse are divorced, you should notify the Health & Welfare Plan Office immediately. If you fail to remove your divorced spouse from the Plan, you could be liable for any expenses claimed by your former spouse after the date of the divorce. For more information, see the Life Events page.
