Introducing 689 Moving Me

The wait is over! 689 Moving Metro is dedicated to helping you make small changes to become or stay healthy. As part of our ongoing effort to offer you a fun and engaging online platform, we will transition to a new partnership with Fitbit Health Solutions effective January 2019.
Our partnership with Fitbit will replace the Go365 program and the new program will be called  “ 689 Moving Me .”  This program will offer more competitions and opportunities to earn more incentives both monthly and quarterly.
Please see below for FAQ’s related to the change:

Why is 689 Moving Metro making this change ?
After gathering feedback from our members we decided to make this change to offer a more simplistic physical well-being program. Why Fitbit? Because our members already identify with the Fitbit brand, most of our members already own a Fitbit device and the platform offers the community/social component that Go365 doesn't have.

What will the new program consist of?
The new program will be called 689 Moving Me and will consist of quarterly challenges (both team and individual) to keep our members engaged.

How will we join 689 Moving Me?
If you already have a Fitbit device, an invite will be sent to the email address we have on file prompting members to join our dashboard.

For members who purchase a device through the storefront, your device will be linked to the program once you sync your tracker.

If members do not wish to use a fitness device, they can utilize Fitbit’s mobile app (which uses the members phone sensor to track steps, calories burned, and distance).  Please note:   The app does not track floors, sleep, or active minutes.

Will the wellness program offer free Fitbit devices?
The Fitbit Zip device (basic model) will be offered at a very low cost to members. The program will also help offset the cost of higher priced models through the storefront. Also, there will be opportunities to earn FREE devices throughout the year. More information to come.

Will members still earn health insurance discounts quarterly?
Absolutely! In fact, we will be increasing the quarterly discount AND members will be able to earn other incentives such as sports tickets, spa retreats, amusement park passes, etc. Additional information will be provided soon.

I’m a current Go365 member, what is the last day to redeem my bucks in the mall?
If you have earned bucks through the current Go365 program, you will have until 11:59pm 12/31/18 to access your account. After 12/31, you will no longer have access to your account.

We will continue to send updates regarding the transition – stay tuned for more information!

In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments regarding the changes, please email the wellness team:    or call Wellness Program Manager, Juanita Hawkins, at 202-679-9887. We welcome your feedback and suggestions!

Thank you for your patience as we continue to bring you the best options for wellness!

FAQs

Do my spouse and I need to sign up for Medicare?

When you or your spouse becomes eligible for Medicare, you should enroll in Medicare Parts A and B. For most people, enrollment in Medicare Part A is automatic (there is no premium) when you start receiving benefits from Social Security. You should sign up for Medicare Part B with the Social Security office three months before turning 65. Your monthly premium to Medicare for Part B will be deducted from your Social Security check.

When you become eligible, you are not required to enroll in Medicare Part B, but benefits will be paid by the Plan as if you are enrolled. This means that, if you do not enroll, you or your spouse will have higher expenses because you will be responsible for paying for the benefits Medicare Part B would have covered. After you submit evidence of your Part B enrollment for yourself or your dependent, your HEALTH & WELFARE Plan premium will be reduced. For more information, visit the "If You Become Eligible for Medicare" section on the Life Events page.
